Photos of Baby Johnella - 3, 4, & 5 months old

She's my sunshine :)

A new lullaby classic by the Dixie Chicks

Hello All,
It’s been awhile b/c well, when you have a newborn all your time, energy, goals, heart & spirit are wrapped up in keeping the brand new life just happy & adjusted to this big world...
Anyway, to make a long story of the past few months brief, I’ve had never felt the depths of love, commitment, hope, joy, pride meshed & intertwined tight with frustration, messiness, practicality and patience until I had my little, sunshine baby Johnella Bella (our jellybean, biscuit) who gives me giggles & snuggles all at the same time. It’s been like bootcamp like my doctor’s told me but I’m a better person, a better woman & now a better mother now that she’s entered into our lives.
God’s blessed me, I say that over & over...
Anyway, I wanted to share this lullaby that the Dixie Chicks did a couple of years back...pretty much sums up simply how a parent feels...lyrics are also below...
Much warmth,
Elle

They didn’t have you where I come from
Never knew the best was yet to come
Life began when I saw your face
And I hear your laugh like a serenade

How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough
Cause I’m never, never giving you up

I slip in bed when you’re asleep
To hold you close and feel your breath on me
Tomorrow there’ll be so much to do
So tonight I’ll drift in a dream with you

How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough
Cause I’m never, never giving you up

As you wander through this troubled world
In search of all things beautiful
You can close your eyes when you’re miles away
And hear my voice like a serenade

How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough
Cause I’m never, never giving you up

How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough
Cause I’m never, never giving you up
Is forever enough
Cause I’m never, never giving you up
