Why, Yes, Yes, It is My First Time Here...How'd You Know?

This is my first post here since a lot of friends have recommended this site to me...also, it's a far cheaper choice instead of going to a therapist. Plus, I'm sure my true friends are tired of my diatribes and random outbursts. So, think of it as me saving money so I can boost my flabby bank account and also, my friends will wonder soon why I'm such a happy camper in this urban jungle we co-habitate in.

Anyway, I was at Tahoe this weekend...but we decided to leave 1st thing this morning. It was kind of nice to be driving up here without any traffic. We also did a Denny's breakfast pitstop plus shopped a bit at the outlets which I haven't done in awhile...it was nice window shopping. Besides that, you know what the word "cabin fever" means when you're literally stuck in a cabin but I liked it...I caught up on A LOT of sleep, slept like a baby. It's nice to sleep without waking up to a cop car and/ or firetruck sirens or the 29 line grumbling/ rumbling along 25th Ave., as I do living my Urban Gypsy life in the city. Also, inevitably on the weekends, between Annie's friends & family and my friends & family, our home phone line can be so lit on fire it sometimes wakes me up too early in the morning; which reminds me to lower the ringer on the phone on the weekends, too (mental note to push the little blue button to the number "zero" on the phone)...also, I've been grandma sitting all week in the East Bay and I couldn't get any rest because well, my grandma was keeping me awake all night...she hardly ever sleeps, she keep thinking she has to go to the bathroom or maybe, she just has a smaller bladder now that she's gotten older, who knows...anyway, my poor grammy...bless her, bless her, bless her...

Anyway, the cabin was nice & big; it had like 8 rooms & I got to sleep in the Master Bedroom...nice, very nice...that's all that needs to be said...

Well, the Tahoe crew just thought a day run was enough, so again we took off & headed outta' Dodge so we can be far from the maddening crowd or more specifically, the crowd that would come sharing the highways with us home.

Hey, so like this week in the street, I was headin' out to lunch & this crazy homeless person, who I will nickname, "Grinny", gave either myself or my co-worker/ friend a compliment, we're not sure to who, but I say it's my male friend b/c well, Grinny seemed a little swishy and I think he swished towards men...so, I'm walking to lunch with my friend and this guy, (again his name is "Grinny"), with two front teeth missing, blurts out to us..."You are a SEXY Asian!" I couldn't do anything but laugh, my guy friend says, "Is he talking to you or me?" I say, "Uuhhhh, I do NOT know but you can take that compliment, you be my guest." So, damn funny...how can you take that as ego boosting when it comes directly from a guy with barely any choppers! Baha! Anyway, just another beautiful day in our "colorful" work neighborhood.

Anyway, I made stacks of pancakes this weekend...blueberry ones, banana ones, ones with strawberries on top, ones with mangoes (is that correct plural spelling?), ones with raspberries on top...yum yum yum...you gotta' love those piled ontop of one another with da' butter & da' syrup dripping down the sides...they were creations of piled-up, almost chinny chin chin goodness. So, if anyone ever needs to hire a good pancake maker on the weekends, I'm your woman... fer reals, I can do the job ;-)
